BOHDAN HOLOMEK (1995)

One of the most important central European photography projects of all time,Holomek captures everyone from ordinary individuals to cultural figures like Vclav and Olga Havel. This extraordinary and rare collection of photographs documents decades of Czech social life through a deeply personal lens. Holomek uses his photographs not just as records, but shared experiences, often returning the photographs to the people who are captured in them. His photographs capture moments of joy, grace, and flashes of love in Czechia (then known as Bohemia) between the 70s and 80s.
