Young Death / Nightmarket marks the return of one of the most elusive figures operating on the fringes of the underground today, Burial. An absolutely jaw-dropping two-track single that treads a familiar path back to his game-changing album Untrue with two tracks of dream-like UKG(host) Hardware, with just over 13 minutes total running time on 180g 12 vinyl.
Something of a Christmas tradition, Burial’s decision to bless us with any sort of glimpse into the unseen echoes of his quiet after-hours studio sessions carry the weight of excitement and expectation that is normally reserved for artists as revered as Aphex Twin or Boards Of Canada.
Young Death / Nightmarket carries the spirit of Untrue through newly mapped-out, rain-soaked memories of classic garage and jungle lit up by distance lights and transported through the late night streets of the South London Boroughs.
