CAD Audio D85 Compact Dynamic Snare Drum Microphone
The D85 is a compact dynamic microphone engineered to capture the attack, detail, and presence of a snare drum in studio and live sound applications. Its cardioid polar pattern focuses on the instrument while reducing pickup from nearby drums, cymbals, monitors, and other sources.
A tailored 80Hz20kHz frequency response makes the microphone well suited for snare drums and other mid-to-high-frequency instruments. Its compact profile allows flexible positioning in crowded drum setups, while the durable metal housing is built to withstand regular stage and studio use.
Beyond snare drum applications, the D85 can also capture woodwind instruments, strings, and piano. The dynamic design requires no phantom power and connects to standard microphone inputs.
