The San Francisco-based artist self-released two cassettes of material in 1984 and 1985, foreshadowingcurrent trends in electronic dance music by about two or three decades using nothing but pre-MIDI analog equipment. Quite a feat, asthe hypnotic rhythms and mesmerizing synths certainly have a timeless quality about them – no doubt in part due to their slowly unraveling, freeform nature and visionaryaesthetic.
