Berlin via London crew Dusty Donuts is back with another mouthwatering tribute to A Tribe Called Quest, delivering fresh, soulful reworks of 2 classics. On side A, DJ Jim Sharp takes the helm with “Breakin’ My Heart,” respectfully updating Tribe’s iconic “Find A Way” with a little more of the sultry Bebel Gilberto vocal that adorned the Dilla-produced original. Flip it over for “Check Minnie’s Love,” where Naughty NMX and Runex reimagine ATCQ’s “Check The Rhime” by tapping into the timeless Minnie Riperton sample, crafting a lush, 90s-infused gem that’ll have you grooving all night long. Both tracks expertly capture the essence of Tribe’s sound while bringing something new to the table.
